Former Phoenix Suns coach Mike D’Antoni has accepted a four-year, $24 million deal to coach the New York Knicks. D’Antoni has a 267-172 career coaching record with the Suns and Denver Nuggets. The Suns won at least 54 games in four of his five seasons, and he has a 26-25 record in the playoffs. It is not being reported, but it is assumed that Isiah Thomas will not be allowed to speak to, touch, be in the same building as, write to, or contact Mike D’Antoni from now until ever.

May 10 (Bloomberg) -- News Corp. withdrew a $580 million offer for Long Island newspaper Newsday, three days after its chairman, Rupert Murdoch, said talks with owner Tribune Co. were in a ``pretty advanced stage.''

The House of Commons standing committee on Canadian heritage will be holding hearings on proposed changes to CBC Radio 2. Beginning Labour Day, Radio 2 will offer what the CBC describes as “a broader, richer spectrum of music,” with less classical and more diverse music.
